A FILM NETWORK FOR DERBYSHIRE

Fran King , the Creative Producer of Fifth Twilight Productions would like to hear from all local film production companies and individuals working with visual and creative arts.

Over the three years that we have been trading we have come up against numerous requests for sector specific support, mainly from those working in, or wanting to start enterprising film and / or drama production businesses.

To help resolve this we are setting up a network to support the local film industry. Its aims are to encourage greater interest in film making within the Peak District, encourage local filmmakers to work together and help disseminate local film making talents to the mainstream film industry. It is also our intention to provide an environment for people to share skills and ideas, in order to support those in need of guidance and mentoring.

We understand there are efforts being made by the local and regional creative industries networks to support the Film Industry and Fran would like to meet with all involved in creative industries where we can discuss these matters further and look at potential linkages.

If your're interested in being part of the network contact Fran King on 01629 650331 or fran@fifthtwilightfilms.com

FIFTH TWILIGHT FILMS CHOSEN TO MAKE EDUCATIONAL FILM

Fifth Twilight are working with the
world-famous Winster Morris Dancers to
make an educational film for young people
about the ancient custom of Morris Dancing.

The project, pioneered in the East Midlands,
will if successful then be used across the
country to re-evoke the traditions of
country folk dancing. The dancers are
already working with schools, giving
lessons to children across Derbyshire,
and now working with Fifth Twilight to
make a DVD showing the Morris Dancers
in all their glory.

The film traces the history of Morris Dancing
in the historical village of Winster, from
dancing at the beginning of the 19th Century
to the present day.

This exciting project will be completed in the
spring of 2007, with the Winster Morris
Dancers receiving the DVD for circulation
across the country.

A VOICE FROM THE DEEP - THE INFAMOUS PEMBROKE VOICE

In June 2006, Fifth Twilight Films followed
Spirit Level Paranormal Investigators as
they investigated the ancient walls of
Pembroke Castle.

It was in the depths of the Wogan Cavern
that the team recorded what appears to
be a voice screaming for help.

This voice has opened up many discussions
internationally, and is perhaps that of a
man who died many years ago, and his
cries can still be heard from beyond the
grave.

The team were very detailed in their
approach to the investigation, and there
is no way that the footage has been
altered or the voice made to be that of a
prankster. The Pembroke Voice is real,
though what it is, is altogether a different
matter.

Fifth Twilight no longer manage this project
and it is in the hands of Crusader Films.
